Red Lace Dress

Dress  •   Dress  •   Dress Is it just me or do you also feel inclined to wear red more frequently as Christmas-time is swiftly approaching? *Sarcasm*: No, I, it's just you... *eye roll*  Alright, fine, I get it, I get it, maybe it's not just me... red is of course a more popular color to wear during the holiday season. But... thanks, I appreciate the sass... Aaanyway, now that I am done acting like you're talking to me or something... Me to me:   you're such a weirdo, I ... I have noticed the difference when I've recently been online shopping. I am like, "Red, red, red! Give me all the red!" I think I only have one red shirt so I should begin to stock up on my red gear for Christmas asap. At this rate I am going with looking at a lot of red clothing, I am off to a good start, but I also might go cray cray with the red... It's such a fun and bold color. Plus, it stands out a lot, which is atypical of what I go for. I normally wear black... light blac...

Baby Pink

Dress   •   Dress   •   Clutch   •   Earrings   •   Necklace   •   Bracelet   •   Shoes It's no secret that I love baby pink (see: here , here , here , and here ) - it is such a pretty color! I saw this dress and loved its simple silhouette. The neckline is a fav of mine (deep-v) and I like how it is banded just above the waistline - seemingly elongating your body, illusion, oohh aahh. Plus, the knee-length provides a nice balance from the deep-v neckline (I am not a fan of showing everything!). Love, love, love this dress. I also saw this similar-colored dress , but the design is rather different. While it does have a v-neckline, the bottom hem is asymmetrical and it has a gathered/ruched-style. Although I wouldn't wear it, I added it since I find it to be so pretty. Style with: nude sandals, gold accessories, and a fun pink clutch! xo, I

White and Grey

Sweater   •   Jeans   •   Earrings   •   Bag   •   Socks   •   Boots Here are two outfits with the same white jeans . The crossbody bags are the same style, just different colors. I love mixing and matching and you can definitely mix and match with the pieces from these two outfits. The white jeans are ankle length (my favorite); wear  comfy socks over them with  boots for a cozy look or wear sneakers for a casual look. I also love stud earrings and these oversized ones would look so fabulous with either outfit. The sweaters and tops are grey-toned, which would pair well with the white jeans. Such a fan of these looks... they're so perfect for the fall and the cooler days! xo, I Poncho   •   Jeans   •   Top   •   Earrings   •   Bag   •   Sneakers

Sparkle and Shine

Happy Friday! It's been a rather long and busy week, but now it's the weekend - woohoo. I will be hanging out with some girlfriends tomorrow: brunch, Harvard-Yale football game , tree lighting, etc. etc. Also, next week is Thanksgiving, so I will have a nice break from school. I can't recall when I've ever had a traditional Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving, but if this counts for anything, I had stuffing, cranberry sauce, cornbread, sweet potatoes, and turkey gravy the other day. It's never too early to celebrate ( eat & eat for)  the holidays, aka my motto right now. This time of year always gets to me because... Christmas. And New Years. They're both coming up and this is not to say I do not like Thanksgiving, but Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year (already have this cute Christmas tree up in my room!) and New Years is always special because it's a new year! I'm already thinking about dresses for the holidays, and I am loving these s...

Go-To Meals

Protein   •   Carb   •   Veggie I am currently on the unlimited dining plan in school, which means that I can basically eat whatever, whenever, when I'm on campus. But when I am at home in California and actually cook, I prefer to make simple meals. My go-to's consist of a protein dish, a carb dish, and a veggie dish - generally, a wholesome and healthy meal that's portioned out. Also, these meals are quick to put together, so I am not in the kitchen for hours on end. Below are the dishes I make for a simple, quick, delicious meal. They are all from Ina Garten because I am a big fan of hers. I follow the recipes for the shrimp scampi and lemon chicken breasts, but for the sweet potatoes, potatoes, brussel sprouts, and asparagus, I will go with the flow and season them without measuring. I normally just pour a bit of olive oil, sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper, add in some finely chopped garlic, maybe a bit of cayenne pepper for some kick, and then leave the pan in ...

Five Outfits: Black Coated Skinny Jeans

Don't you just love Mondays? I do. Sure, they can sometimes be difficult, yada-yada, they're Mondays after all, but it's another fresh start to a brand new week. Most times I need several cups of coffee to get through the day, but Mondays are really beacons of hope for new beginnings. What is this gibberish I speak of? e.g., "I'm going to start my diet on Monday," or "I'm going to start working out on Monday," etc. etc. Hello, who doesn't love that? I know I do. (Side Note: I woke up at 5:30am this morning to work out at 6am because... Monday.) For today's post, I found these black coated skinny jeans and thought they looked so chic. I do not own black jeans (long story short: my only pair ripped a couple weeks ago -_-) and I am looking for a versatile pair. These are coated which would work so well for night outs. I've created five outfits with these jeans and love the contrast between some of the flowy/flirty blouses with the black...

Black Lace Slip Dress

Left to right: Diane von Furstenberg | Steele | House of Harlow 1960 I've recently gotten into lace-y looks, especially lace dresses. While these dresses aren't full-on lace, the lace accents on these slip dresses add a flirty and feminine touch. Might I add that these slip dresses seem like they are ultra-comfy? I have a halter slip dress and it is hands down the most comfortable dress I own. I can just toss it on and head out! How's that for convenience and comfort? Pretty good, I must say. For these slip dresses, I would wear a black leather jacket over and wear black strappy sandals ... would be great for a Friday night out. xo, I From left to right: Leith | Bardot | Capulet Save Save Save Save Save Save

Burgundy Moto Leather Jacket

Jacket || Sweater || Jeans || Sneakers || Earrings || Bag || Rosé I spy with my little eye... another turtleneck sweater. This provides me the opportunity to include a cautionary note: there will be more posts with turtleneck sweaters in them. If you do not like turtleneck sweaters, fear not. Simply swap out the turtlenecks with non-turtleneck sweaters, ones of similar style but with different necklines. Easy as chicken pot pie, minus the green peas in them. (For some reason, I just do not like green peas. Also, are chicken pot pies difficult to make? Hmm... I should test out a recipe one of these days!) Anyway, the main focus here is not on the turtleneck sweater, nor on the level of difficulty of making chicken pot pies, but on this burgundy moto leather jacket . Or, rather, this wine moto leather jacket . Burgundy, wine. Shmurgundy, shwine. Ta-mae-toes, ta-mah-toes. You get the drift. Shades of colors flock together. Hey I, where are you going with this? Don't know... jus...

Grey Turtleneck Sweater

Casual Outfit: Bag || Sweater || Jeans || Shoes I have a thing for turtlenecks. Especially when it gets to fall/wintertime, these babies will keep my neck toasty. I never wear scarves so I rely on turtlenecks to play their double-duty role: they must ensure that both my upper body and neck are protected from the frigid cold. No pressure to these turtlenecks, but it's absolutely necessary for them to serve their purpose. Otherwise why would I want to wear something that looks like it is suffocating my neck (don't worry, turtlenecks are actually non-suffocating, hallelujah). I found this grey turtleneck sweater and, as evident from this post, was inspired to create outfits for it. It's lightweight, but has a tencel/cashmere blend so it's still soft and cozy. For a casual outfit, pair it with high-waisted flare jeans , sneakers , and  a crossbody bag . It would be so comfy to run errands in! Or to wear to class, just swap out the crossbody for a tote bag. For a dressi...
