Salmon With Anchovy-Garlic Butter

Amidst all of the eventually-bound-to-occur chaotic holiday prep (read: frantically shopping, meticulously decorating, mentally preparing, etc. etc., you know, all of the good stuff), one bonus is the opportunity to make and eat lots of delicious food. It should go without saying that not only am I a fan of fastidiously cooking meals, but I am also one of eating the meals afterwards. My theory is that a happy belly directly correlates to a happy soul... or something along those lines. These past few days I've been eating some not-so-healthy* food, simply because while I was back in Boston, I stuck with the same repetitive, simple, healthy meals every day - in proper "I'm unabashedly a stringently regimented, old-habits-die-hard kind of person" fashion. (*Note: using the descriptor of "some not-so-healthy" is me being kind to myself... what it really means: copious amounts of sweets and packaged foods.) Naturally, coming home to the goodies that my parents ha...

Reiss Dresses

Happiest of Fridays. I arrived in California in the early morning. After six hours spent on an airplane, how nice it is to be relaxing back home (and, in general, it's always lovely to return after some time). My sister and I have been watching Eloise at Christmastime ; we used to watch Eloise all the time when we were children, and it's been pleasantly nolstagic. We'll also be baking and cooking up a storm while we are here... I will be in my full-on chef mode - can't wait. And as of yet, I haven't gotten any holiday dresses, so I have been scouring the interwebs for inspiration. Reiss has been a favorite of mine ever since a friend brought me into its Newbury Street, Boston store. He purchased a suit there and had to get it tailored, and while he was getting his measurements taken and what not, I walked around to explore the store. I loved the styles so much! Mostly, I remember loving so many of their dresses. Since then, I've been continually revisiting Reis...

This or That: Louis Vuitton Bag

Capucines PM ● Lockit PM Happy Monday! I've blogged about my wishlist of bags before but today I thought I'd put two bags from that list in a little "This or That" showdown or battle or comparison, whichever you'd like to call it. My bags wishlist blog post was created almost a year ago and while I might end up narrowing that list by removing some bags or expanding that list by adding some bags, as of right now, those bags are still on my radar.  As I explained briefly in that post, I prefer my bags to be ones that are classic or timeless... " ones that I can see myself using for a long time" as I put it. I currently have four bags: a large black tote from Zara, a small nude crossbody from Zara, a small black crossbody from Rebecca Minkoff , and a medium black satchel from Marc by Marc Jacobs . I purchased all of these bags on sale; the small nude crossbody bag was beyond affordable at $8... it'd have been silly of me to not purchase it, especially...
