These are the beauty products I purchased from Ulta earlier this week. I saw that these three items received high-praised reviews, so I decided to give them a try.

The Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque was applied to my freshly washed face. Immediately, as I smothered the thick, mint green goop on my face, I could feel the rather strong burning/tingling sensation from the mint-iness (kind of like if you applied toothpaste on your skin). That only lasted for a little while though upon immediate application, as the burning went away. I left the layer - which should have been thicker - on my face to dry for about 15-20 minutes. Towards the end, it felt as if my face was stuck and bunched together; the mask had dried and thus my face was frozen and tight as can be. I looked in the mirror (yikes, green face) and the goop had dried with little crackles in it. I washed the product off with warm water (many many times) and my face felt much more soft and smooth than before I had applied the mask. I noticed my pores were smaller as well. I'll continue to use this maybe once or twice a week and see how it affects my skin.

Next up, the two Hada Labo Tokyo products I bought. I was searching for beauty products on Amazon (which pretty much has everything known to mankind) and ended up landing on this. Then, I did more research and realized that Ulta sold this product. It seems as if the packaging is different (Ulta's for the U.S. and Amazon's the original Japanese one), but I believe the product is the same. Hada Labo's prides itself on their formulas containing "Hyaluronic Acid", which is something that's naturally found in your skin to hold moisture and also fights aging. Not only does Hada Labo contain this powerful anti-aging and moisturizing ingredient, theirs is "Super Hyaluronic Acid", which plumps and moisturizes the skin even more.

Anyways, so I bought the Replenishing Hydrator and also the Skin Plumping Gel Cream that was next to it on the Ulta shelf. That night, I washed my face with my Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub, patted my face dry, then swiped my face with Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 to prep my skin. Next, I pumped a pea-sized drop of the Replenishing Hydrator (which has an extremely liquid consistency, in between water and serum), rubbed it in my hand, and patted it onto my face until it was fully absorbed and dry. My face felt good at that point. Afterwards, I put a dime-sized amount of the Skin Plumping Gel Cream (light, clear, water-based) in my hands, rubbed it together, and then patted it on my face (just like I did with the Replenishing Hydrator). I let that dry and then I went to bed. The next morning, I kid you not, my face felt beyond soft, smooth, and hydrated. I could tell because I was exposed to the sun all day and prior to applying the Hada Labo products the night before, my nose was peeling due to dry skin and a slight burn from the sun. I liked these two products a lot and also how everything went together, so I will be using these for a while to test them out even longer. Hopefully they continue to moisturize and hydrate my skin as well as they did the first time.

As for the pricing goes, the mask was only $3.99 and the Hada Labo products were "Buy One Get One Half Off" at Ulta (off the lower priced product), so the gel cream was $24.99 while the hydrator was $9.00 (originally $17.99). To me, the products were low-priced considering how well they worked. Oh, I also used Ulta's "$3.50 off $10" Coupon so it was even lower in price.

Overall, I have only positive reviews for these three products and will continue to use them.
