Target's Nailhead Headboards

1 || 2 || 3 || 4 Target is my go-to place for basically any essentials. I know that if I am ever in need of anything, it is 99.9% guaranteed that Target will provide me with satisfaction in finding and purchasing a quality product at a steal price. Seriously, it is one of the best places to shop at whether it be for clothing, groceries, stationery, gifts, home decor, beauty products, etc. etc. It is a magical one-stop shop, not to mention its main color is red - one of my favorite colors! So whilst online window shopping on Target.com, I came across these gorgeous headboards. There were so many that I loved (Target does that to me... too many great options), but these four were my favorites. No surprise, they are neutral-colored, have nailhead-trims (except for one), and are upholstered... all quite similar to the one that I DIY-built a few years ago. (Actually, these types of headboards were what initially inspired me to create the headboard bed in the first place.) With these head...

Five Recipes

Image via Bon Appétit . These past few days, I have been more invested in finding recipes to make. This is a plus as I - and my family - can enjoy various homemade foods. The downside is that I am only cooking these less than a week from when I return back to Boston. (Imagine everything I would have been able to make if I made more recipes earlier!) It only means one thing: a cooking fest for the next few days! Here are three recipes I tried and I will also include two that I would like to make. 1. Portuguese Baked Eggs - Plan on making for breakfast or brunch one morning. Doesn't the photo look absolutely divine? See #3 for why I want to make this... 2. Lemon-Soufflé Pudding - Plan on making for dessert one evening. I love a good lemon treat. 3. Herbed-Baked Eggs - Super easy and quick recipe made for brunch one morning. Herbs are wonderfully combined in addition to the parmesan. Serves two. New-found love for baked eggs after I had this... (Thanks Ina!) 4. Crispy Salt-and-Vine...

Back To Basics

Here is an outfit for anyone anticipating rainy/cooler weather in the coming fall/winter months. I personally do not like heavy rain/dreary weather, but, hey, we all know it's bound to happen on the east coast one way or another... so best to embrace it with chic and put together outfits like this one. These items are all simple and basic staples in a closet (the riding rain boots and turtleneck top are my favorites!), but when put together, create the perfect weatherproof outfit. Ladurée Macarons

Image via Louis Beche How delicious do those Ladurée macarons look? They are gorgeous, packaged beautifully, and the colors are vibrant. Oh, Ladurée, how I love you so. I had my very first bite of a Ladurée macaron last year when I was in Miami (with the tennis team) for spring break. I was strolling down Lincoln Road one afternoon and once I reached nearly to the end, I saw the small Ladurée store in the corner (did not realize there was one there, thought they were only in France, or Paris to be precise). My body froze and my eyes immediately lit up. I had been wanting to have a taste of what those macarons would be like. I had heard a lot about them throughout the years and thought that macarons in general were so dainty and elegant. Ladurée's packaging and store environment were absolutely breathtaking to me (I mean, from what I saw online), escalating my desire to try a macaron from them. When I saw the store, obviously I was in such a state of excitement, but I did not exp...

This Or That

Have you ever seen one of those "Who Wore It Better" segments on magazines, TV shows, or simply anywhere on the internet? Well, this is sort of like that, except with furniture and decor items (and fashion as well - just sans the people wearing the clothing). This time, we have two beautiful armchairs along with two beautiful rugs. They are all so beautiful. The thing is: decide, this or that. The coral (mango, specifically) colored honeycomb arm chair or the neutral-toned-down yellow (West Elm calls it horseradish) colored one? One Kings Lane's has a smaller honeycomb pattern that is more detailed and intricate whereas West Elm's is more simplistic with crisp lines. Another difference between the two are the legs with One King Lane's being longer and higher off the ground. West Elm's is the exact opposite: tiny peg legs bringing the chair basically to the ground. For the rugs, both have an updated chevron pattern. Jonathan Adler's chevron has a pixelated-...

Pinky Pink

I cannot believe it is almost nearing September. This summer was a long one, and it is soon time to transition to the fall. Here is a cozy cashmere turtleneck sweater in the most precious baby pink (almost veering towards a baby lavender) paired with white ripped skinny jeans, a simple gold necklace, a gray just-a-tad-bit patterned bag, and black ankle booties. Niked Out

Here are three Nike outfits with the same base of simple black capri leggings. The first outfit is a neon sweatshirt with matching shoes. The second is an all black head-to-toe workout outfit with a slim-fit tank. The third is neon orange accented with a loose fitted tee. New workout clothing is always motivating. These cute outfits are sure to get you moving! Leggings Outfit 1: Sweatshirt , Shoes Outfit 2: Tank , Shoes Outfit 3: Shirt , Shoes
